Somehow the awesome party of yesterday propels me into the workweek today…usually monday mornings are a particular kind of depression and dread, as much as I love my job, its just hard to leave the house. Today I’m excited to see what the world has to offer, instead of scared of getting smacked in the face by it. I think that’s a sign of good friends :)

comics are hard
so i wrote my own plot for a GN, its long and involved and wonderful and i love it. here’s the rub: i can’t figure out how to get it from a plot to a thumbnail/storyboard. the page breakdowns. i have no experience in this and its intimidating me. i was just doing it train-of-thought style but its hard to know where to begin and end.

birthday yay
a rare call from my grandma over in MD, ian, dad and i are going to visit her this spring. she is doing good and sounds cheerful, it always warms my heart to know she’s okay. she asked me if i was drawing and i told her about my in-the-works GN. she too is quite an illustrator and is taking a creative writing class, its neat how things like that span the generations.
